JENNA FACCENDA
Jenna Faccenda is a clinical herbalist, Italian American folk practitioner, and teacher of bio-regional plant medicine. Her work is rooted in ancestral tradition and shaped by years of study, practice, and mentorship in Philadelphia, Southern Appalachia, and Italy.
Jenna's path has been guided by the plants themselves, alongside the many teachers and traditions that have shaped her understanding of plants as ancestors and herbalism as a place-based practice. Her work is deeply informed by the diasporic folk healing traditions of her Southern Italian and Sicilian ancestry, and her ongoing studies in trauma-informed practice and grief-informed care.
Through her herbal practice, Jenna offers individualized herbal consultations and flower essence protocols to assist those moving through grief, trauma, and transition. She also teaches classes rooted in herbal medicine, folk tradition, and ancestral practice. Her work invites others to develop their own relationship with the plants as a way of reconnecting with oneself.Jenna is the founder of Widow and the writer behind the Substack From the Ashes, where she explores plant medicine, Italian folk traditions, ancestry, grief, trauma, and the work of remembering.LEARN MORE ABOUT JENNA HERE
